Perhaps, I would need to read it to educate myself like you said. I don't know very much about IM speak but I do have girls and keeping the lines of communication open with them is important for me to do as well.Juliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07082371226006423990noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8027299943447728658.post-39113242855310879892009-09-30T07:48:15.211-04:002009-09-30T07:48:15.211-04:00I've seen this book go through circulation on ...I've seen this book go through circulation on the days I work in the library. I too am not sure I could get past the IM speak.

This sounds like a book that may bother me if my kid is reading it. I like your emphasis on parents talking with kids. I totally agree about *parents* being the ones that need to read such books, especially if their kids are reading it!Rebecca Reidhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06062252252301802298noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8027299943447728658.post-5406009971266233312009-09-28T21:35:34.165-04:002009-09-28T21:35:34.165-04:00I imagine this would be as hard for me to read as ...I imagine this would be as hard for me to read as "Jane Eyre" was -- a language I'm not used too! : )Jennershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08044537551139633301noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8027299943447728658.post-48864838033016238312009-09-28T13:48:13.167-04:002009-09-28T13:48:13.167-04:00I read this a while back so my memory is a bit fuz...I read this a while back so my memory is a bit fuzzy, but I liked it enough to read the second one but not the third. Now I doubt I could get past the internet speak. I don't know if I could read a book like this, though, in all IM speak. I think I'd get too irritated. I'm not saying the book would be bad, though.Amandahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07026099426503180472noreply@blogger.com
