I did finally start reading Jo Walton though so that was a start. There just isn't enough time for all of the books.Kristen M.https://www.blogger.com/profile/02335598194501733541noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8027299943447728658.post-40321251483658552942015-09-28T07:35:04.572-04:002015-09-28T07:35:04.572-04:00This is good news! I agree with you, though, it would make more sense to categorize it as literary fiction. I wonder if they'd make a different categorization call if they published it today, or if they'd remain influenced by the fact that Jo Walton's past books were all fantasy.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8027299943447728658.post-83699140886226952452015-09-27T12:12:15.285-04:002015-09-27T12:12:15.285-04:00Thank you for reminding me of this book - I know h...Thank you for reminding me of this book - I know have a copy somewhere, and you have me really wanting to find it.Jane @ Beyond Eden Rockhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14568410017337283636noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8027299943447728658.post-22979982855178966112015-09-26T21:52:03.542-04:002015-09-26T21:52:03.542-04:00I read this book like you did, hardly able to turn...I read this book like you did, hardly able to turn the pages fast enough. I loved Lucy & I almost wish we could have had the whole story through her eyes. I found the alternative history very chilling - and things get worse in the books that follow. Ha'penny is brilliant. And I think that you as a Trollope reader would love Tooth and Claw - a completely different setting (and a lighter story).Lisahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17782561487396697870noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8027299943447728658.post-64604721014398841792015-09-26T18:58:43.715-04:002015-09-26T18:58:43.715-04:00I am like you in reading several books that are so...I am like you in reading several books that are somehow linked, biographies and novels set in Paris, Anthony Trollope then Angela Thirkell, that sort of thing. This book sounds amazing with the house party theme and imagining if the Nazis had won on The Continent. Wow.Terra https://www.blogger.com/profile/04396481049075747940noreply@blogger.com
