Great characters.

Bookmarksandteacups -- Initially, I just checked it out because it was available at one of the college libraries and I have reciprocal borrowing privileges. I got so involved with the story -- I highly recommend it.

Rebecca -- I always think it's a sign of a great writer if the characters are unlikeable but I still want to read more. I think that's real talent.

Fleurfisher -- I didn't know it was a Virago also! That's like a double recommendation right there. I'm really glad I read it.Karen K.https://www.blogger.com/profile/13483190930383406559noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8027299943447728658.post-42545169569146608882011-03-31T19:50:01.863-04:002011-03-31T19:50:01.863-04:00I have the Virago edition, and I knew that a book ...I have the Virago edition, and I knew that a book that had been published by Virago and Persephone had to be good. I like the sounds of a book that takes place in one day yet has so many themes going on.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8027299943447728658.post-3057862859782707242011-03-28T09:46:06.135-04:002011-03-28T09:46:06.135-04:00Another Persephone to add to my ever-growing list....Another Persephone to add to my ever-growing list. I loved the way that so much insight into the characters and their lives was given over the space of just on day.verityhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16825551404394913715noreply@blogger.com
