Challenge Link-Up Post: Classic by a Woman Author
Please link your reviews for your Classic by a Woman Author here. This is only for the Classic by a Woman Author category. If you do not have a blog, or somewhere public on the internet where you post book reviews, please write your mini-review/thoughts in the comments section. If you like, you can include the name of your blog and/or the title of the book in your link, like this: "Karen K. @ Books and Chocolate (Jane Eyre)."
This is the first classic. I'm ready for #2, but not until after I've read my 5th book this year. Like you, I am a voracious reader, true, but I tend to steer into odd waters.
Just finished my first book/review for the challenge "North and South" by Elizabeth Gaskell. I don't think it will become a favorite, but I am glad to have read it.

ReplyDeleteYou're first!! The very first person to post a link to a book review for my challenge. Thanks so much!!
DeleteI'm so glad I read The Blue Castle! It was a delightful novel by Lucy Maud Montgomery (author of Anne of Green Gables). Thanks for this challenge.
ReplyDeleteThe Feminine Mystique was an interesting one for me. So much has changed since it was written, but other things remain the same.

ReplyDeleteI just finished Pride and Prejudice -- one down five to go! ;-)
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorites! I hope you enjoyed it.
DeleteJane of Lantern Hill was such a treat--I'm expecting to read other classics by women this year, but this was a lovely way to start.
ReplyDeleteMy second of the challenge - O Pioneers! I just adore Cather.
ReplyDeleteMy first Gaskell! I loved it.
ReplyDeleteI read Agnes Grey by Anne Bronte. Enjoyed it, but not the best Bronte!
ReplyDeleteI forgot to link my review for To Kill a Mockingbird from back in April! Oops ;) - Maggie @ An American in France
