Back to the Classics Challenge 2015??
So, this is just a short post to find out how many people would be interested if I continued to the Back to the Classics Challenge next year!! I know I've been very remiss in posting lately, so I may have lost a lot of followers; also, so far only three bloggers have posted links to their final wrap-up posts (there's still a month left!! You only need six books to qualify for the drawing!)
However, I'm not one for giving up easily! Besides, I've already figured out what categories to use for next year -- and I have an idea for a pretty big change that will make the challenge easier.
Bloggers, what do you think? Anyone up for another Back to the Classics Challenge for 2015??

Me! I'm up for it! Also I completely forgot that I was supposed to DO a wrap-up post. I did finish a little bit ago. I'll get on that...
ReplyDeleteWell, I've been meaning to post a reminder. And I still haven't finished the challenge myself! I have one more book to go.
DeleteAbsolutely!
ReplyDeleteAnd like Jean, I totally forgot about the wrap-up post. I have completed the 2014 challenge, and I have put the sign "DONE" in my challenge page. But OK, I'll just copy-paste it to a single wrap-up post and submit it to the linky soon.
Can't wait for your offical 2015 BtC post... ;)
A wrap-up post would be great, that way I can see how many times I should enter your name in the drawing!
DeleteI really enjoyed the challenge this year, would love to see it back next year. No wrap up post yet, because I'm still trying to fit one more book in before the deadline. . .
ReplyDeleteThanks! I have one more book myself, mystery/suspense/thriller. I can't seem to find one that I enjoy. I may just skip it since I have three left for the TBR pile challenge.
DeleteI am very interested, because I missed getting in on last year's challenge!
ReplyDeleteGreat! I look forward to you joining us.
DeleteMe too! I forgot about the wrap-up post. I actually finished at the end of August, so I have no excuse. I really hope you host this challenge next year! And thanks so much for hosting for 2014.
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome, it's been really fun! And you have until the end of the month. I'm getting really excited to see who wins the drawing.
DeleteYes please! I already have a stack of 12 classics set aside in anticipation of a 2015 challenge!
ReplyDeleteGreat! I look forward to seeing your posts. I'm pretty excited about the categories for next year.
DeleteI am planning to join many less challenges next year and just focus on a few special ones and would love for Back to the Classics to be one of my few! Classics are the one area I very much want to read more of, but sometimes struggle with so a challenge like this is very helpful for me.
ReplyDeleteI don't have a wrap-up yet since I still have one more category to complete (and another already read I need to review), but I'm hoping I will get finished in time!
Oh and I don't know what your idea is to make the challenge easier, but I would LOVE if there were a choice of categories and a requirement to finish a certain number of them instead of the rigidly divided required vs. optional categories.. That's just my two cents (that you didn't ask for!) & I'm planning to join no matter what :)
DeleteYou shall see! I think all the participants will be pleased.
DeleteI'd definitely be up for a new Back to the Classics challenge next year! I still have one (and a half) books to complete this year, but I've still got a month to go. :D
ReplyDeleteThat's a lot of time! I hope you can finish.
DeleteI'd like to join as well, if you decide to give it another year.
ReplyDeleteGreat! I'll be posting the official sign-up shortly.
DeleteI'm still plugging along. I've completed every category except the Historical Fiction. I'm not sure what to read for that, and I may not make it. I also need to write another post. My wrap-up post won't be for a few weeks yet.
ReplyDeleteI think that was a challenging category for a lot of people. I hope the categories will be more straightforward next year.
DeleteI've got one more book to read to complete the whole challenge--and I've read the six required books, so I'll get a wrap-up post done one way or another. I'll be sure to sign up for next year's challenge. I need to push to get the books read!
ReplyDeleteI needed a push too -- I still have three more books for another challenge, and I really want to get them finished by the end of the year. Good luck!
DeleteI hope you do! I still have to read one more for the 6 required this year and will be getting to that one shortly. I look forward to seeing your ideas for 2015!!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like the bloggers have spoken! I've had a good response so I'll be writing a sign-up post soon.
DeleteAbsolutely!
ReplyDeleteSo far in 2014 I've only finished three of the required categories, and one of the optional ones, so this year has been a bad year for challenges.
ReplyDeleteBut I'm in for next year anyway :-)
I neglected the classics this year, so I think this challenge might help me get back on track.
ReplyDeleteI'm in again. I enjoyed the challenge this year and have several more in mind to read next year. I just hope they fit the categories. I'm sure I can make them work somehow.
ReplyDeleteplease do continue, I have been reading along lurkingly all year and have finished 25 classics so far, and the year isnt over yet. Perhaps next year i will brave up and sign in for real. If it werent for your challenge i would never have met William Maxwell and now i dont see how i lived without him!
ReplyDeleteI'm definitely up for it! I appreciate the fact that you've hosted it this year. I have read more than 6 books and will be doing a wrap up post as soon as I get one more review written. I hope you do it again!
