Challenge Link-Up Post: Classic With a Place Name in the Title

Please link your reviews for your Classic with a Place Name in the Title here.  This is only for the Classic with a Place Name in the Title category.  It can be a country, a city, a street, or a building, but it must include the proper name of a place.

If you do not have a blog, or somewhere public on the internet where you post book reviews, please write your mini-review/thoughts in the comments section.  If you like, you can include the name of your blog and/or the title of the book in your link, like this: "Karen K. @ Books and Chocolate (The Belly of Paris). "

  1. Just added my first book for the year. Good to have a few days holiday to kick start my reading.

  2. Just finished Castle Rackrent. An excellent novel from the very late 18th century, quite modern with not one but two unreliable narrators and a text which includes commentary on itself.

  5. I forgot to comment. Some weeks ago I left a link for Paradise Lost. That title did not convinced me fully about fitting this category.
So, after resisting Middlemarch for quite some time, I finally relented. I've loved every single minute of this novel I listened to in a wonderful audio.

  6. I read Helen MacInnes's Assignment in Brittany. I had never heard of the author and was surprised to find out how popular she used to be. I'm planning to read some more of her books.
