ReplyDeleteAfter reading The Mill on the Floss, I understand why George Eliot has been called "England's first psychological novelist."
ReplyDeleteI have to admit that I chose Jane Austen's Northanger Abbey for this category since I was going to go on a long-awaited trip to England, which included Bath. That added a nice touch
ReplyDeleteDodie Smith's love of dogs radiates from The 101 Dalmatians. Also set at Christmas-time if you need a last might read!
