Really enjoyed And Then There Were None! Love that I was right but got fooled!
ReplyDeleteI've been moving things around and added a link to my new entry for this category, but I can't seem to delete my original one (#3); I'm so sorry!
DeleteKaren, I messed up and forgot to add my title. Is there a way you can delete my entry and then I will re-enter my link w/ the title? Thanks in advance! ~ Ruth @ Great Book Study
ReplyDeleteSure, just go ahead and re-post it and I'll delete the incorrect one. No problem!
DeleteOK, just saw this. I will repost the correct one w/ title. Thanks, Karen!
DeleteI linked to my Goodreads review, because I DO have a blog, but don't keep up with reviews over there nearly as well as on Goodreads.
ReplyDeleteEither way is fine!
DeleteFinished Room With a View two nights ago. It was OK. Feels like all my reading is in the same place right now.
ReplyDeleteIt was a tough choice between One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest or Brave New World.
ReplyDeleteSome books stay with you and open your eyes to the experience of others whose challenges are very different from your own. This is such a book. If I lived in Australia I would have known Alan Marshall was not only a great and beloved writer but also a great humanitarian. Reading really is a doorway to the universe.
ReplyDelete4 Stars for: Where the Red Fern Grows
ReplyDeleteI read My Antonia for this category. A nice slow, thoughtful read.
ReplyDeleteI read The Phantom Tollbooth for this category. Not sure how I missed this great book when I was a kid, but I sure enjoyed reading it with my son! https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/3684758871

I read Silas Marner for this category...my first George Elliot, but certainly will not be my last! https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/3103337728

I read Letters From Father Christmas for this category. It is a collection of letters that JRR Tolkien wrote to his children as Father Christmas from 1920-1943. They are wonderful and include great drawings as well. It really is more of a glorified picture book, which I didn't realize before I got the book. I've also included my review of The Tower Treasure (The Hardy Boys #1) for this category in case the Christmas one is disqualified.
