Challenge Link-Up Post: Classic About an Animal

Please link your reviews for your Classic About an Animal or With an Animal in the Title here.  This is only for the Classic About an Animal or Animal in the Title category.  The animal can be real, imaginary, or metaphorical. If the animal is not obvious, please clarify in your post.

If you do not have a blog, or somewhere public on the internet where you post book reviews, please write your mini-review/thoughts in the comments section.  If you like, you can include the name of your blog and/or the title of the book in your link, like this: "Karen K. @ Books and Chocolate (The Hound of the Baskervilles)."

  1. I read Setting Free the Bears. I've owned it for decades and this was a good opportunity to finally read it. :D

    1. I can't believe that John Irving was first published more than 50 years ago!

  2. I was expecting Animal Farm to be a 3-star read for me, but actually I gave it 5 stars!

  3. Wow, I've done it. I've finished the challenge. Thank you for offering so many interesting prompts. Never would have read Nils Holgersson and Metamorphosis otherwise. Both stories have become favourites of mine.

  4. I live not far from Jack London's home. He was a very interesting and creative man. This is the most political books of his that I have read but even if you don't agree with the idea Social Darwinism it is an enthralling adventure story.

  5. Read the old man and the sea for a book about Animals.
