  5. I read Iola Leroy by Frances E. W. Harper (1892) for a different perspective on what makes a family.

  6. I had owned this book for years but had never read it until now. It's a daunting book to read because the family it deals with is so dysfunctional. I am glad this Challenge finally got me to read it, but I can't imagine re-reading it.

  7. I read The Whole Family, which is a collaborative novel edited by Elizabeth Jordan. Each of the twelve chapters focuses on a different family member and is written by a different author. It was an interesting experiment of a book to read!
