Challenge Link-Up Post: Nature in the Title

Please link your reviews for your Classic with a Nature in the Title here.  This is only for the Classic with Nature in the Title category. This can be anything that occurs in nature, except animals, i.e., mountains, rivers, elements, plants, etc.

If you do not have a blog, or somewhere public on the internet where you post book reviews, please write your mini-review/thoughts in the comments section.  If you like, you can include the name of your blog and/or the title of the book in your link, like this: "Karen K. @ Books and Chocolate (On the Beach)."

  1. Checking another one off my list! By the Shores of Silver Lake was especially fun since my son and I read it together!

  5. The Wind in the Willows seemed the perfect choice for this category.

  6. I don't get what all the hype is about The Catcher in the Rye - I hated the book... and I rarely say that.

  7. Well, I had really mixed feelings about The Bird in the Tree by Elizabeth Goudge, but at least it checked off a challenge prompt that was strangely difficult for me to find a book for!

  8. I had never read any Zane Grey and thanks to the Classics Challenge I now have. Thank you, Karen. Purple Sage seemed nature enough in the title and reading this gripping novel took me into purple sage country - a landscape whose wildness and beauty I want to experience when the the day comes that travel is safe again.

  9. I had been meaning to read more of the books off of the AP list since the students always ask me about them. James Baldwin was an author I had been wanting to read for some time. Even more neat was the fact that I just reread Stamoed and Baldwin was mentioned in the book. Now if I could just get to "Their Eyes Were Watching God"
