Challenge Link-Up Post: Children's Classic

Please link your reviews for your Children's Classic here.  This is only for the Children's Classic category.  If you do not have a blog, or somewhere public on the internet where you post book reviews, please write your mini-review/thoughts in the comments section.  If you like, you can include the name of your blog and/or the title of the book in your link, like this: "Karen K. @ Books and Chocolate (The Wizard of Oz)."

  4. I just finished reading aloud Children of the Covered Wagon by Mary Jane Carr to our kiddos. It's a great book for learning about westward expansion, wagon trains, and the Oregon Trail!

  5. Just posted about An Old-Fashioned Girl, by Louisa May Alcott. I enjoyed this venture into more of Alcott's children's fiction, with some surprisingly adult themes.

  8. Please delete my original entry #21 as I've moved that book to the Forgotten Classic section. I would like to add Wind in the Willows as my Children's Classic.

    Thanks,
    Melissa

  9. "Little House in the Big Woods" by Laura Ingalls Wilder was my first introduction to this series of books. Growing up in England I was reading "Swallows and Amazons" and books about pony clubs.
